Update: The moon has been sighted. Eid al-Fitr will be on Friday, June 15th.
Assalamu alaikum! Ramadan is almost over, and soon it will be time for Eid!
On Monday, June 11th, we will be finishing the reading of the Quran in Taraweeh prayers. After the completion of 20 Rakaat of Taraweeh, we will have a du’a, followed by refreshments, so please join us.
If we see the moon on the night of Thursday, June 14th, Eid will be on Friday, June 15th. Otherwise, it will be on Saturday, June 16th. Either way, we’ll know by Thursday night, and the announcement will be made here, on the answering machine message at the masjid (the phone number is (707) 649-8006), and of course, at the masjid as well.
Please come early, and try to carpool to minimize traffic and parking congestion.
The schedule on the day of Eid will be as follows:
|8:00am to 8:30am||Takbirat|
|8:30am to 8:55am||English khutbah (sermon)|
|8:55am to 9:00am
||Eid Prayer (Salat al-Eid), followed by Arabic khutbah|
The Eid Festival will be on the following Saturday, June 23rd, from 11am to 5pm, at the masjid. More information about the Eid Festival will be posted soon.
