At about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18th, Solano County issued a “countywide Shelter at Home Health Order and Directive” in relation to the ongoing coronavirus situation, which went into immediate effect. As a result, effective immediately, the Islamic Center of Vallejo will be temporarily closed until further notice.
In addition to the previously announced suspension of all activities and events, and of Jummah, this means that there will be no congregational prayers at the masjid until further notice. This includes all five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. The gates will be closed at the masjid at all times.
The county order specifies that it will be in effect until 11:59 p.m. on April 7th, 2020; however, given this ever-changing situation, we’re not sure at this time exactly when we will be re-opening our doors.
